The Atlanta Peaches scored a tight, 1-0 win versus the Oklahoma City Twisters at Peachers Park. Atlanta pitcher Dave Smith held his own in the contest. The win for the Peaches raised their record to 21-20.

Smith dominated for Atlanta, raising his record to 4-3. Oklahoma City hitters had few good at-bats against the right-hander, who scattered 3 hits over 8 innings while striking out 3.
