Queens Earn Late 8-7 Win
The inspired effort of Mexico City third baseman Sergio Melendez was not enough to prevent a loss, 8-7, to the Denver Queens. Melendez went 3 for 4 with a triple, 2 singles, and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs. The 'W' lifts Denver's record to 25-15.

Denver used the timely hitting of Enrique Rosales to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Queens on top, 7-6. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Rosales.
