The Arlington Arsenal beat the New York Empire, 12-4, at Empire Ballpark. The Arsenal got a fine performance from third baseman Juan Santos, who went 3 for 6 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Ramon Betancourt got the win, improving to 3-1. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 4 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 5 and walking 1. The Empire fall to 6-9 and continue their lethargic start to the 2042 season.

Matt McFarlane, who is a two-time All-Star, had a timely hit in the top of the fifth inning. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, the Arlington left fielder hit a 2-run single. That put the Arsenal in front, 3-2.

"We came in and got the job done. That's what it's all about in this business," said McFarlane.
