Jets first baseman Matt Alf put his stamp on his team's 4-3 win over the Phoenix Firebirds. Alf went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for Dallas in the contest. Paul Ross earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. He upped his record to 2-2. The win makes Dallas 24-21.

Dallas used a timely hit from Jason Furr to get the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Jets ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a difference-maker.

Alf attributed the win to "an all-around good team performance."
