| Rangers Suffer 6-4 Road Loss | Kareem Mealing had a good game, but he could not keep the Houston Rangers from falling, 6-4, to the Hollywood Hitters at Hitters Park. The Houston first baseman went 4 for 4 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk in the loss. Hollywood leads the United West by 2½ games.
Manny Barragan, who is tied for 6th in the UL in triples with 2, chipped in a 2-run home run for Hollywood in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the right fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 2 RBI.
Hollywood manager David Fields was pleased with the team's effort. "It was just a good, gutsy performance by everybody," he said.
