| Hollywood Wins, 3-2, Over Rangers | The Hollywood Hitters faced a tough opponent in Houston pitcher Jesus Arenas, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Hitters Park by a final score of 3-2. Arenas went 6 innings and allowed no runs. Houston, at 18-29, has lost 5 straight.
Batting in the bottom of the ninth, 22-year old catcher Brock Bedard had a real shot to win the game. Houston pitcher Ruben Perez was determined not to let it happen. But with two outs, Bedard hit a run-scoring single. The Hitters had a walk-off triumph.
"We're stringing together some nice wins," said Hollywood manager David Fields.
