| Jackals Rally Late to Clip Tampa Bay | The excitement level at Jackals Stadium reached a crescendo in the final at-bat.
The Jacksonville Jackals beat the Tampa Bay Sunrays, 5-4, with major props going to catcher Camden Hodge. On the day, Hodge was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Jackals. Jacksonville reliever Justin Barile was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Vic Mendoza.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With two out, Hodge hit a fastball from Vic Mendoza for a run-scoring single. The Jackals, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"We were the better team," crowed Hodge.
Now 15-3, the 2042 Jackals have been sensational so far.
