| Marquez K's 10 En Route to 7-0 Firebirds Win | The San Francisco Pioneers had their hands full with Phoenix Firebirds starter Gus Marquez, who frustrated San Francisco hitters while leading Phoenix to a comfortable, 7-0 win. The victory gives Phoenix a record of 24-22.
San Francisco had little success against Marquez and his fastball. Marquez tossed 117 pitches over 8.2 innings for the Firebirds.
"I was the aggressor," said Marquez. "No doubt about it."
