| Hitters Upend Marauders , 6-1 | Hollywood registered a win at Marauders Field by beating the Mexico City Marauders , 6-1. Pitcher Joe Fenton was one reason why the Hitters triumphed. Fenton, now 6-2, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 4, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. The win elevated the Hitters to 25-22.
Hollywood used a well-timed hit by Billy Thornton to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Hitters ahead, 3-1. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
Thornton called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
