| Hitters Beaten By Marauders , 5-3 | Mario Cardenas was a major contributor to the 5-3 Mexico City win over Hollywood. The Marauders first baseman went 2-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Picking up his 16th save was three-time All-Star Robert Medina. The Marauders sport a record of 34-14.
With Mexico City leading 1-0 in the bottom of the fifth, Cardenas hit a fastball from Chris Ward for a 3-run home run. It was his 14th home run of the season and put the Marauders ahead, 4-0.
In postgame comments to the Mexico City Herald, Cardenas said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
