Luchadors Topple Twisters with Late Rally
San Diego pitcher Pat Caniglia had a large part in his team subduing the Oklahoma City Twisters, 5-1. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the left-hander. Dustin Seavert, who finished 4th in the UL in saves with 26 last year, was the winner in relief. His record is now 5-1. The losing pitcher was Cesar Gomez. The United South-leading Luchadors are 36-13.

Dennis Anderson, who is tied for 9th in the UL in total bases with 93, took Oklahoma City hurler Cesar Gomez deep in the bottom of the eighth. His solo home run put the Luchadors on top, 2-1. In all, Anderson had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 3.

"It was a good effort all around," said Anderson.
