| de la Rosa Blasts Empire, Makos Take Game 4, 6-4 | The Miami Makos and the New York Empire will take the Divisional to a decisive 5th game. In a must-win situation, the Makos beat the Empire, 6-4, at Honolulu Stadium to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Miami first baseman Willie de la Rosa was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2.
Had de la Rosa not come through in the bottom of the seventh, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, de la Rosa hit a 2-run home run. The Makos took the lead, 6-4, and never looked back.
Miami manager David Fields called it "a pretty good win."
Game 5 is scheduled for Saturday at Empire Ballpark in New York.
