| Queens Earn 6-4 Win Against Pilots | The Denver Queens defeated the Seattle Pilots, 6-4, in 12 innings in United action at Pilots Park. Denver pitcher Matt Philips had a standout performance. The win went to Mark Dawson in relief, making him now 1-1. Justin Beine took the loss for Seattle. Earning his 7th save for Denver was Sergio Aguilar.
The game was at a stalemate until catcher Brad Cantor came to bat in the top of the 12th. Facing Seattle pitcher Justin Beine, he hit a first pitch cutter for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Denver on top, 4-3.
"Nice to tuck this win away," said Cantor.
The Denver win streak is now 3 games.
