| Jets Nip Pilots, 6-5 | Dallas second baseman Antonio Becerra contributed significantly to his team's 6-5 win over the Seattle Pilots. Becerra, who is tied for 3rd in the UL in doubles with 15, went 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Jets. Vinny Hernandez got credit for the save for Dallas. It was his 6th of the year. Dallas is 25-28 and Seattle, with the loss, 21-32.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Lorenzo Sandoval? The Dallas shortstop had a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Jets on top, 4-3. For the game, Sandoval had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
