| Millan Lays Hammer Down in 2-0 Win | Pitching was the name of the game in a tight contest between the Atlanta Peaches and the San Francisco Pioneers. Atlanta won it, 2-0. Atlanta starter Miguel Millan was in command. Mitchell Wilson recorded the save for Atlanta, his 9th of the season. The Peaches saw their win-loss record go to 21-31. At the same time, the Pioneers fell to 10-42.
Millan was the winner. He's now 5-4, after putting the San Francisco offense in a vise grip. Over 8 innings, he gave up no runs on 4 hits, while racking up 12 Ks.
"Winning is hard sometimes," said Peaches manager David Fields. "This one was nice to get."
