| Luchadors Thwart Queens, 6-4 | The San Diego Luchadors handed the Denver Queens a 6-4 defeat at Queens Field. Center Fielder Ruben Antunez starred for San Diego. He went 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Alan Herron, the winner, is now 9-1. He struck out 6 and walked 6 over 6 innings, while allowing 4 runs on 8 hits. With the win, the Luchadors improved to 38-14.
The game turned with no one out in the top of the fourth. That's when Antunez hit a run-scoring double off Kareem Brobbey. It propelled the Luchadors into the lead, 1-0.
"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Antunez.
