| Twisters Absorb 4-2 Home Loss | Hollywood pitcher Joe Ward had a large part in his team beating the Oklahoma City Twisters, 4-2. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Ward, the winner, moves to 4-3. He threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 9 and giving up 3 walks. Armando Fonseca nailed down his 6th save.
Daniel Hernandez, who is tied for 2nd in the UL with a .393 on-base percentage, helped out the Hollywood cause in the top of the fourth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the first baseman went 1-4.
"Joe was throwing strikes, locating well," said Hollywood manager David Fields.
The win for the Hitters lifted their record to 38-14.
