| Drooping Pioneers Lose 6th Straight | Jets left fielder Josue Hernandez left his imprint on his team's 8-6 win over the San Francisco Pioneers. Hernandez was 1-1 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for Dallas in the contest. Dallas pitcher Vinny Hernandez got the win, upping his record to 4-3. Robert Medina got the loss. The win for the Jets lifted their record to 28-28.
Had Tom Chitty not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Chitty hit a 2-run single. That made the score 8-6, in favor of the Jets.
"Anytime you're seeing it well, it's a good feeling," Hernandez told the Dallas Citizen. | | | | |
