San Diego Luchadors starter Javier Torres found his groove in his team's 4-3 win over the Dallas Jets. Bobby Samu got credit for the save for San Diego. It was his 23rd of the year. San Diego, at 42-16, is 6½ games up in the United South.

Had Jimmy Taylor not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Taylor hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Luchadors.
