 | Weinreis Scorches Kings for 3 HR Tuesday, April 29th , 2042 It was a good day for the Detroit Vipers and an exceptional one for Chris Weinreis. The 25-year-old first baseman sent three bombs out of the park to help the Vipers beat the Boston Kings, 6-4, at Condors Park. "When you're in the zone, the game really slows down," Weinreis said when asked about his performance later. "I couldn't even tell you what pitches were thrown. Today feels great, but it is a long season and tomorrow is another day." For the day, he scored 3 times, drove in 6 runs and smacked 4 hits in 5 at-bats. Chris Weinreis hit a solo-shot off Miguel Salguero in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Miguel Salguero in the 5th, grounded out in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off Ricardo Hernandez in the 10th.
