 | Cryin' Time: Peeples Retiring Friday, May 9th , 2042 Matt Peeples said he's proud of what he's accomplished in professional baseball and he's now comfortable walking away from the sport. The San Diego Luchadors reliever announced today that this season will be his last. "It's Freedom 38," he joked with reporters. "I'm happy to get out now and am looking forward to enjoying retirement." Peeples has fashioned a career won-lost record of 37-37. In 676.2 innings he has recorded 731 strikeouts and put up a 3.70 ERA while earning 28 saves. |   |
