 | Travis Welker Plans to Retire Friday, April 7th , 2045 It's a somber day for Pioneers fans as Travis Welker announced that he will retire at the end of the 2045 season. The San Francisco starting pitcher attributed his retirement to his age and loss of skills. "I'm not the type of player I want to be anymore," he said. "It's harder go out there and be competitive. I'm not at the end of my rope yet, but I've seen guys hang around too long. I'm not going to be one of them." During his career, Welker has 181 wins and 147 losses and a 3.47 ERA. |   |
