| IL Player of the Week, Oceguera of Orlando Monday, July 10th , 2045 23-year-old Jesus Oceguera sent shock waves through Federal Baseball League last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Independent Player of the Week Award.
A newcomer to the league, Oceguera made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .550 average, 11 hits in 20 at-bats, 4 home runs and 10 RBI.
Where the Orlando Orange catcher goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Oceguera certainly made his mark last week.
To date Oceguera has chalked up a .272 average with 12 home runs, driven in 42 runs and scored 43 times. | | |
