Pioneers Gunnoe Stops Dallas for 200th Save
Sunday, April 6th , 2042
As he's done throughout his career, relief standout Gary Gunnoe took the ball and got it done. The only difference - this save, which gave the San Francisco Pioneers a 1-0 win over the Dallas Jets, was number 200 in his famed career. It's a milestone many dream about, but few reach, a fact that was hardly lost on Gunnoe as he talked with reporters after the game.

"I think back to when I was a teenager just hoping to get my shot in this game, and never did I think I'd be saving 200 games," he said. "It's truly an honor to achieve this, and I'm proud to put my name in the record books. I'm just glad I've had the opportunity to stick in the league long enough to accomplish this."

Gunnoe has fashioned a career won-lost record of 70-84. In 1259.1 innings he has recorded 1366 strikeouts and put up a 3.37 ERA while earning 200 saves.
