 | Chicago, Detroit Trade Players Friday, October 28th , 2044 Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Hawks announced today the acquisition of 25-year old RHP Art Davis from the Detroit Vipers in exchange for 18-year old minor league 2B Alex Garcia, 23-year old 2B Omar Alonso, 26-year old minor league RHP Lorenzo Ayala, 28-year old minor league 1B Raymond Brûlé, a 2nd round draft pick, a 3rd round draft pick, and a 4th round draft pick. "This isn't the deal of the century," acknowledged the Hawks, "but we think it will improve the direction of both teams." Since joining the league, Davis has compiled an ERA of 2.64 with a career record of 20-18. He has 439 strikeouts in 296.2 innings and has held opponents to a .167 batting average. |   |
