"We're off to the Round 2," said Golden Gophers first baseman Lorenzo Martinez, who was named series MVP after his club eliminated the Guadalajara HS Grand Slam by a series score of 4-2. "You can never take a win in a series like this for granted," he said. The Chihuahua HS Golden Gophers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Zapopan HS Huskies - Juarez HS Vikings series. That series is tied at 3 games apiece. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. |   |
