 | Huskies Move on to Round 2 Friday, April 25th , 2042 The Zapopan HS Huskies and Juarez HS Vikings held nothing back in an entertaining Round 1 that went the distance. In the end, it will be Zapopan HS advancing to the Round 2, after a 1-0 triumph in the final game at Vikings Park, to wrap up the series 4-3. The Huskies players celebrated jubilantly in their clubhouse after the game, while the scene was one of dismay on the opposing side for the Vikings. Dave Sandoval was named series MVP for Zapopan HS. For the series, Sandoval hit .423 with a .531 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 12 RBI and scored 9 runs. The Zapopan HS Huskies will play against the Chihuahua HS Golden Gophers in the next round. Chihuahua HS won their series against the Guadalajara HS Grand Slam 4 games to 2. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. |   |
