 | Golden Gophers Heading to Round 3 Thursday, May 1st , 2042 With a 8-4 win to wrap up the series at Huskies Park, the Chihuahua HS Golden Gophers have eliminated the Zapopan HS Huskies in the Round 2 and move on to the Round 3. Chihuahua HS controlled the series from the outset and won it in a 4-0 sweep. Willie Soltero led the charge offensively for the victors, winning series MVP honors. He posted a .500 batting average, along with a .550 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, drove in 7 RBI and scored 6 runs. "We're not done yet," the MVP said. "There is still a lot to accomplish." The Chihuahua HS Golden Gophers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Indianapolis HS Reds - Monterrey HS Rough Riders series. Indianapolis HS leads the series 3 games to 0. The Round 3 schedule will be announced after the Round 2 finishes. |   |
