 | Reds Move on to Round 3 Saturday, May 3rd , 2042 The Indianapolis HS Reds took time to celebrate with the Indianapolis HS fans who stuck around after the game, following the team's Round 2 triumph over the Monterrey HS Rough Riders. Members of the Reds hung around chatting, high-fiving and taking pictures with the Indianapolis HS fans in attendance at Great American Ball Park, long after the last pitch had been thrown in their 5-3 win to seal the series 4-1. "We've got great fan support," said second baseman Bryan Mimms. "Whether we're at home or on the road, the fans support us. So we wanted to show them how important that is to us. Some Monterrey HS fans that were there even congratulated us on the win." For the series, Mimms hit .375 with a .375 on-base percentage. He had 4 home runs, 7 RBI and scored 7 runs. Things weren't so cordial on the Rough Riders side of things. Their clubhouse was closed to media after the game and all players and coaches quickly dressed and left the stadium after the end to their season. The Indianapolis HS Reds will play against the Chihuahua HS Golden Gophers in the next round. Chihuahua HS won their series against the Zapopan HS Huskies 4 games to 0. The Round 3 schedule will be announced after the Round 2 finishes. |   |
