 | 6-Hit Game for Wright Tuesday, March 21st , 2045 All game long, Virginia Beach HS's Chris Wright was rattling the walls at Mérida HS Fields and banging out base hits against the Mérida HS Sultans. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 6-hit day and the Speedsters had a win, 20-6. Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 17-year-old center fielder said, "Get 6 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this." Chris Wright singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Omar Molinar in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off Omar Molinar in the 9th. Thus far this season in 10 games, Wright is batting .387 with 3 home runs, 8 RBIs and 11 runs scored. He has 12 hits in 31 at-bats. |   |
