 | Rodriguez Bashes 5 Base Hits Saturday, April 13th , 2041 5 times is the charm -- at least for Oscar Rodriguez. The San Jose HS Maples left fielder tore up the Mississauga HS Wingnuts to the tune of 5 hits in 5 at-bats at San Jose HS Stadium. The offensive onslaught from Rodriguez powered the 15-5 Maples win. "Rodriguez was a tough out," Mississauga HS manager said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure." Oscar Rodriguez doubled in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Kelly Lundy in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Andy Bint in the 3rd, walked in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Leon Holmes in the 7th and singled in the 8th. At present, Rodriguez is batting .485 with 33 hits and 13 home runs. He has knocked in 28 runs and scored 24 times. |   |
