 | Round 1 Goes the Distance, León HS Prevails Wednesday, April 26th , 2045 The León HS Bulldogs and Zapopan HS Huskies didn't hold back anything in the Round 1, with each team pulling out all the stops in an effort to advance to the Round 2. León HS won the final game by a score of 7-6 at Bulldogs Stadium and that concluded the series, 4-3. "Relief is the biggest thing," León HS second baseman Manny Galvan said when asked how he felt. "It's a grind both mentally and physically to have a long series like this, but our guys stuck with it and Zapopan HS deserves credit for the hard fight." Galvan paced the León HS offence and earned MVP honors. For the series, he hit .406 with a .424 on-base percentage, 4 home runs, 9 RBI and scored 7 runs. The León HS Bulldogs will play against the Ecatepec HS River Sharks in the next round. Ecatepec HS won their series against the Acapulco HS Typhoon 4 games to 2. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. |   |
