 | Coleman Batters Los Angeles HS Big Time Friday, March 21st , 2042 Columbus HS A's center fielder Josh Coleman had a day to remember at Speedsters Fields, ripping apart the Los Angeles HS Speedsters and sparking the 21-2 A's win. Coleman wrote his name in the record books with a 5-hit barrage, finishing his special day 5-for-7. "I'm usually a first ball hitter," Coleman told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid it." Josh Coleman singled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, doubled in the 3rd, hit a two-run double in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Justin Berk in the 9th. Coleman has collected 38 hits for the A's this year, 9 of them home runs. He has also netted 20 RBIs and scored 27 runs while batting .418. |   |
