 | Columbus HS Moves on to Round 2 Friday, April 26th , 2041 It went the distance, but the Columbus HS A's finally disposed of the Zapopan HS Huskies 15-2 in the series clincher at A's Park. Winning the finale gave the A's the series, 4-3. They will now advance to the Round 2. The Most Valuable Player Award went to Columbus HS first baseman Randy Wood. He batted .276 in the series, collecting 15 RBIs and scoring 8 runs. "Randy deserves it," said A's manager . "He was the glue that held our club together." The Columbus HS A's will play against the Managua HS Pipeliners in the next round. Managua HS won their series against the Naucalpan HS Bandits 4 games to 2. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. |   |
