 | Guadalajara HS's Medina Goes Ballistic with 5 Hits Monday, March 21st , 2044 Guadalajara HS left fielder Chris Medina had a big day at Grand Slam Park against the Chihuahua HS Golden Gophers. The 17-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-6 and led to the 12-2 Grand Slam triumph over Chihuahua HS. "Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Medina said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all." Chris Medina singled in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. Thus far in 2044, Medina is hitting .378 with 6 home runs, 22 RBIs, 18 runs scored and has compiled a .495 OBP. |   |
