| McAndrew Pounds 3 HR Against Swashbucklers Wednesday, May 1st , 2041 Martin McAndrew added his name in the record books after an explosive home run spree against the Guadalupe HS Swashbucklers. But despite joining the select list of sluggers to hit three home runs in a game, it didn't guarantee a victory. The Edmonton HS Peregrines fell to the Swashbucklers, 19-12.
In his big day at Peregrines Park, the Edmonton HS left fielder went 4-for-5 with 7 RBIs and scored 3 times.
"It was just one of those days," he told BNN sportswriters in the postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. I'm just putting a good swing on the ball. "You would think three homers would win most games. It was good to hit 'em, but a win would have really made my day."
Martin McAndrew hit a two-run home run off Tony Rodriguez in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Tony Rodriguez in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Tony Posada in the 6th, grounded out in the 8th and hit a two-run double in the 9th.
This year, McAndrew has hit 18 home runs and posted a .387 batting average. | | |
