| Conference 1 Names League's Best Monday, May 29th , 2045 At the age of 17, Tony Ovalles of the León HS Bulldogs could very well have his best years ahead of him.
It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2045 was good enough to win the catcher the Conference 1 Most Valuable Player Award.
"See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach."
The top hitter put up a .409 batting average this year, as well as a .512 on-base percentage. He played 34 games and racked up 54 hits, 8 doubles, 1 triple, 14 home runs, 46 RBIs and 40 runs scored.
He received 15 first place votes out of a possible 30. Mike Juarez of the Zapopan HS Huskies finished second in voting with 9 first place votes, while Ruben Pereira of the Chihuahua HS Golden Gophers finished third with 4 first place votes.
