 | Juarez HS Hurler Wins SL1 Most Valuable Player Award Tuesday, May 27th , 2042 For fans of the Juarez HS Vikings, there was certainly no doubting the value of Fernando Morales this season. Now the 16-year-old pitcher has an award to show just how valuable he was, as he's been named the 2042 Conference 1 Most Valuable Player Award winner. His remarkable campaign saw him put up a 4-1 record. In 8 starts he piled up 43.2 innings, had 30 strikeouts with 11 walks and a 2.27 ERA. Morales held opposing hitters to a .261 batting average and compiled a 1.3 WAR. He received 17 first place votes out of a possible 30.
