Edward Sanchez of the Havana HS Patriots had a fine season this year and today he accepted the Most Valuable Player Award for 2042.

The 16-year-old first baseman put up a .424 average and a .547 on-base percentage, piling up 59 hits, 7 doubles, no triples, 17 home runs, 53 RBIs and 35 runs scored.

He received 9 first place votes out of a possible 30. Cory Rodd of the Edmonton HS Peregrines finished second in voting with 12 first place votes, while Hector Peralta of the San Luis Potosí HS Flight finished third with 4 first place votes.
