 | Golden Gophers Lopez to Miss Year Friday, April 1st , 2044 Chihuahua HS reliever Enrique Lopez could miss the remainder of the season because of a torn flexor tendon in his elbow. He exited yesterday's Nezahualcoyotl HS game after injuring himself while throwing a pitch. The original diagnosis said Lopez would be out 13 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that." Lopez has taken the mound for 7 relief appearances this season, nailing down no saves while notching a 0-1 record with a 8.44 ERA. The Chihuahua HS reliever has limited opposing batters to a .423 batting average. |   |
