Apparently not Los Angeles HS Speedsters right fielder Gregg Lewis, who missed the team's pre-game session but peppered the visiting Acapulco HS Typhoon for 5 hits come game time. The Speedsters went on to take the 10-6 win. "I was late to the park and I wasn't sure coach was even going to keep me in the lineup," he told the press after the game. "Maybe I should skip BP more often." Gregg Lewis grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Tony Gonzalez in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Roberto Ramirez in the 6th, doubled in the 8th, grounded out in the 10th and doubled in the 12th. So far in 2042 Lewis is batting .426 with 9 home runs, 24 RBIs and 28 runs scored. He has 49 hits in 115 at-bats and a .496 OBP. |   |
