| Henry Raps San Jose HS for 5 Hits Friday, April 4th , 2042 It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-6 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Dan Henry, it came around today.
The 17-year-old right fielder scattered hits all over San Jose HS Stadium to pace the 19-17 Memphis HS Black Dogs victory over the San Jose HS Maples.
San Jose HS skipper told reporters in the press room that "Henry deserves a hat-tip."
"He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Henry hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit."
Dan Henry struck out in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, walked in the 6th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Sean Church in the 7th, hit a two-run home run off J.D. Chlebek in the 8th, singled in the 9th and walked in the 12th.
Henry has a .377 average and a .500 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 40 hits, 7 home runs and driven in 23 runs. | | |
