| Hit Parade: Valcour Pops 5 Hits Saturday, April 5th , 2042 There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day.
Jim Valcour is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-6 against the Mérida HS Sultans at Swarm Stadium. The monster effort from the 17-year-old first baseman helped the Calgary HS Swarm get the win, 15-2.
"We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Sultans manager . "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today."
Jim Valcour singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Mike Marroquin in the 8th.
Valcour is hitting .376 this year with 8 home runs and 22 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .452, 15 walks and scored 28 times. | | |
