The 15-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 6-for-6 and led to the 19-12 Reds triumph over Guadalupe HS. "Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Martin said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all." Mike Martin singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 8th and doubled in the 9th.
