| Noriega Goes Yard 3 Times Thursday, April 14th , 2044 In a powerful performance that left the fans at Rough Riders Grounds buzzing, Monterrey HS Rough Riders shortstop Hector Noriega blasted a trio of home runs en route to a win, 17-4, over the Havana HS Patriots.
"Everything was clicking," Noriega told the press. "My timing was good and I got pitches I could handle and I didn't miss them."
Noriega shined brilliantly in the win, with 5 hits in 6 at-bats, 7 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
"It's not just one guy, it's everybody," Rough Riders manager said. "Hector played great but it takes more than one guy to win a game."
Hector Noriega singled in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Danny Munoz in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Edwin Martinez in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Danny Ayerdis in the 8th.
Looking at his season stats, Noriega has compiled a .316 batting average and a .386 on-base percentage, while hitting 13 home runs and driving in 44 runs. | | |
