| Pardo Raps 3 HR Against Bandits Sunday, April 13th , 2042 Acapulco HS Typhoon second baseman Victor Pardo sensed he was going to have a good day at the plate, but he still might have underestimated it a little.
Prior to the start of today's contest with the Naucalpan HS Bandits, Pardo told teammates he was sure he would hit a home run. He did -- three times.
"During batting practice I really had my swing down pat," he recalled. "I felt some thunder in the lumber."
The big day from Pardo pushed the Typhoon past the Bandits, 9-7. To go along with the homers, he collected 7 RBIs and scored 3 runs.
"I was seeing good, feeling good and swinging good," Pardo told reporters after the game.
Victor Pardo hit a two-run home run off Luis Mojica in the 2nd, struck out in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Nelson Anzualda in the 5th, struck out in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Rodolfo Garza in the 9th.
This season in 26 games, Pardo has hit at a .468 clip with 36 hits, 12 home runs, 30 RBIs and 19 runs scored. | | |
