 | Round 1 Goes the Distance, Guadalajara HS Prevails Monday, April 25th , 2044 A classic and dramatic Round 1 has wrapped up, with the Guadalajara HS Grand Slam outlasting the Aguascalientes HS Attack to advance to the Round 2. Guadalajara HS won the final game by a score of 11-3 and took the series 4-3. "We can enjoy this one tonight, but then it's back to work and thinking about the next win," said Guadalajara HS second baseman Manny Trujillo, whose standout performance earned him the nod as series MVP. Trujillo hit .545 with a .583 on-base percentage. He had 4 home runs, drove in 9 RBI and scored 12 runs. The Guadalajara HS Grand Slam will play against the Brooklyn HS Vipers in the next round. Brooklyn HS won their series against the Zapopan HS Huskies 4 games to 2. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. |   |
