 | Round 1 Goes the Distance, Wichita HS Prevails Saturday, April 26th , 2042 The Wichita HS Diamondbacks are off to the Round 2 after an exciting Round 1 triumph. Wichita HS downed the Xico HS Continentals, but needed the entire series to do so, with a 2-1 win tonight at Chase Field wrapping up the series 4-3. "It's every guy in this room that made this happen. Without us all pulling in the same direction, we don't win this series," said Jaden Swain, who earned MVP honors for a standout offensive series. Swain put up a .357 with a .419 on-base percentage in the series. He also had 1 home runs, drove in 5 runs and scored 3 runs himself. The Wichita HS Diamondbacks will play against the Port-au-Prince HS Sky Sox in the next round. Port-au-Prince HS won their series against the Indianapolis HS Shamrocks 4 games to 1. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. |   |
