 | Spikes Prevail, as Round 1 Goes to the Wire Sunday, April 27th , 2042 After their 7-5 win today at 89ers Field over the Pachuca HS 89ers, the New York HS Spikes will advance to the Round 2. New York HS won the series by a 4-3 margin. Leading the way for the Spikes was third baseman Ryan Rodriguez, who had a spectacular series and was named MVP. "I don't play differently in the regular season or playoffs. I just go out and do my best every game," he said. "It's certainly nice to play in the big game, but you can't let it get to your head and change your focus." The New York HS Spikes will play against the Charlotte HS Thunder Cats in the next round. Charlotte HS won their series against the Nashville HS Nobles 4 games to 0. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. |   |
