 | Simonsen Swats 3 HR Against Charlotte HS Thursday, May 8th , 2042 Frank Simonsen went on a hitting rampage at Chase Field and got membership in the select club of hitters who have hit three home runs in a game. He walloped three into the stands to pace the Diamondbacks to a win, 9-6, over the Charlotte HS Thunder Cats. The Wichita HS right fielder collected 4 hits in 6 at-bats, drove in 5 and scored 3 runs. "I don't know, you never know when things are going to fall into place," he told the press after his big game. "Today, I didn't have any special insight or adjustment, I just happened to get three pitches I was ready for." Frank Simonsen hit a solo-shot off Hugh Tedesco in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit a solo-shot off Mark Robison in the 9th and hit a three-run home run off Keith Hansen in the 10th. At the moment, Simonsen is hitting .347 with 9 home runs and 28 RBIs. He has played in 36 games and scored 37 times. |   |
